John's Journal... Entry 204, Day 5 WHEN BASS GO TO ROOST WITH GEORGE MAYFIELD How to Build a Bass-Fishing Buddy for a Lifetime EDITOR'S NOTE: If you want to learn more about any subject, you always talk to the experts. George Mayfield is an expert on bass-fishing lakes like Lake Dancy at The Roost. One of the biggest advantages of taking a friend or a family member to a lake like Lake Dancy is that you can create a bass-fishing buddy forever. Youngsters like to catch fish. Sure, they like to go fishing, but they prefer to catch fish rather than go fishing. If you have a young child in your family, consider taking him or her to a lake like Lake Dancy that is heavily stocked. He or she can catch bass throughout the day until everyone is worn-out. That one trip may hook him or her on bass fishing for his entire life. You also will create a memory that will last as long as you and the youngster do. Has your wife been asking you why you enjoy bass fishing so much? Take her to a lake like Lake Dancy, and let her find out for herself. Tie a Strike King Micro Mini spinner bait or a small Strike King crankbait on her rod and watch it bend, her muscles tense, and see the rush of excitement that she gets every time she catches a bass. Do you have an older friend or a relative who may be well past the time when he can hook up his own bass boat and go to the lake? But, he still has that never-ending urge to go catch a bunch of bass. Then why not consider taking him to a lake like Lake Dancy? One of the biggest regrets of my life was that my father didn't live long enough to see a bass-fishing dream like this come true.
