Larry Nixon of Bee Branch, Arkansas, the top all-time money winner on the B.A.S.S. circuit, has fished in more than 20-BASS Masters Classics, has won over $1 million, has won four MegaBucks tournaments and been Angler of the Year three times.

According to Nixon, "To attract sponsors, you must be willing to pay your dues. You need to fish every day you possibly can on your local waters to hone your skills. Fish 12 months a year. Also, consider becoming a guide so you can fish more. You've got to learn how to win tournaments, be a public speaker, think on your feet and work with the press. You also have to be respectable in the eyes of the public and consistently win tournaments."
