John's
Journal... Entry33 - Day 1
The Bad Bird Bible Chapter 1, Verse 1- Joe Drake The Bible has instructions to deal with most of life's problems. However, each verse doesn't deal with every problem. That's why the Bible has numerous chapters and verses. The Bad Bird Bible includes many different ways to solve various problems when you hunt turkeys. The contributors to the Bad Bird Bible speak in different chapters about problems that we all have to face with bad birds. "I've found that the wingbone call is a call that works sometimes when nothing else will, especially on a bad turkey," Joe Drake of Fortson, Georgia, a member of Realtree's Hunt Team and an active participant in turkey-calling contests, advised. "The wingbone call is the only call that a hunter sucks air in when he uses it rather than blows air out. That call produces a different sound than any other call on the market. "But since hunters find the wingbone call a little more difficult to use than other calls, very few hunters call to turkeys with wingbones. Many times when I've had to hunt bad gobblers, I've used the wingbone call and brought in a gobbler that nobody else has been able to take."
