Well-Known Author and Outdoorsman Bob Robb Tells How He Chooses His Bowhunting Equipment When Hunting Deer
Day 1: Author and Outdoorsman Bob Robb on Speed vs. Accuracy in Selecting a Deer Hunting Bow
Editor’s Note: Bob Robb, an outdoor writer for almost 30 years and one of the first editors of “Peterson’s Bowhunting Magazine,” also today edits the outdoor magazines, “Whitetail Journal,” “Waterfowl & Retriever” and “Predator Xtreme.” Robb always has been on the extreme edge of bowhunting, not only taking white-tailed deer but many-other big game animals from Alaska to Mexico and beyond with his bow. Robb serves as an advisor for several bowhunting and outdoor companies. Due to Robb’s vast bowhunting experience, we’ve asked him to give us some tips and tactics that will help you be more successful this bow season.
Question: Bob, in choosing a bow, most bowhunters go one of two ways. They either want bows that shoot extremely fast, or they prefer to shoot bows with a lot of forgiveness to somewhat offset mistakes that they may make in form and/or accuracy. I know that over the years, you’ve hunted with and shot a wide range of bows from many manufacturers. If I asked you, “What’s the most-important ingredient in selecting the right bow?” which side of this issue do you favor most - speed or accuracy?
To learn the answer to this question, click on the video, and let Bob Robb tell you how to make this decision.
