 Editor’s Note: If you want to catch a trophy bass, you can spend thousands of dollars on equipment and hours on the water. With 100 acres of lakes, P-Arrow Plantation, owned by Drayton Pruitt and located just outside of Livingston, Ala., off I-59, is a west-central Alabama bass-fishing hotspot that continues to produce plenty of 10- and 12-pound  largemouths. A beautiful lodge, a swimming pool, great food and super fishing combine to give anglers memorable stays there. According to Max Adams, my guide on a fishing trip there, “Two fishermen easily can catch and release 100 bass a day the first time they visit P-Arrow, even in July when the temperatures reach 110 degrees. You’ll catch quite a few 2 to 4 pounders, and you’ll also catch bass that will weigh from 5- to 12-pounds each.”
