Beth
L. Habeishi, born in Des Moines, Iowa, now resides in Birmingham, Alabama,
with her husband, Chris, and their two Chocolate Labs, Hershey and Nestle.
She graduated magna cum laude from the University of Montevallo with a
major in English and a minor in speech, and taught junior high and high
school English and creative writing before returning to Montevallo to
pursue a master's degree in language arts/education. Past experience in
journalism includes editor of a college newsletter, contributing author
to the Good News community newsletter, speech writer and freelance
writer. In addition to her responsibilities as the senior editor of Alabama
Whitetail and Bass and as a contributing writer to Heavy Equipment
News, Beth is responsible for providing weekly Internet content for
Bass Club Digest's Bass Club of the Week, editing and uploading
Internet content for Mossy Oak and managing the uploads for five additional
outdoor websites. A member of the Outdoor Writer's Association of America
(OWAA) and the Southeastern Outdoor Press Association (SEOPA), Beth presented
a speech at the 2001 OWAA conference and worked the 2001 SHOT Show, where
she had the opportunity to interview, photograph and meet with top names
in the outdoor industry. Beth also writes articles for a number of outdoor
and trade magazines as a freelance writer and currently holds the position
of senior editor at Night Hawk Publications.
